Raahe ist eine finnische Stadt am Bottnischen Meerbusen. Sie gehört zur Landschaft Nordösterbotten, die Teil der Provinz Oulu ist, und bedeckt unter Ausschluss der Meeresgebiete eine Fläche von 535,65 km², von der sich 8,34 km² über Binnengewässer verteilen. The Port of Raahe provides excellent facilities for companies involved in international business; good sea transport connentions to the UK, Continental Europe, the Mediterranean and further afield. The Raahe industrial areas are located close to the harbour, whith good road and rail links inland and into Russia. Raahe offers regular sea transport routes, with oncarriage and warehousing facilities in destination countries thus building up a network facilitating both import and export trade. Measured in terms of international traffic, Raahe is one of the busiest ports in Finland both in terms of tonnage throughput and ship calls. Raahe harbour specialises in steel, bulk, sawn goods and containers.
